Subject:  CHANGES TO PARTY PATROL

    Due to increasing costs, the FDA Board voted to run the Party Patrol on
Friday and Saturday nights only and to discontinue Thursday night.  The
Party Patrol costs $37l per night.  In the four month period from September
through December, there were only 23 calls on Thursday nights.

    In addition, the Party Patrol will be limited to those periods when VCU
is in session and will include the weekends just before a semester begins
and after a semester ends.  The Thanksgiving weekend will be covered.  Other
"party nights" will be covered at the discretion of the Board.

   Party Patrol will resume on January 15-16.  The PP number is 549-6962.
At other times, call the police non-emergency number 646-5100 or the Third
Precinct at 646-1413.
