[Emailfda] Tax Bills

[Fan Email Distribution List]

The Department of Finance recently mailed all real estate bills to the
property owner, including those bills intended for owner's mortgage escrow
accounts.  Many of the letters arrived today.  

 

The Finance Department has asked that we provide the following instructions:

 

If you are an owner with an escrow account, do not pay the bill.  The
correct bill will be provided to the mortgage company for payment.

 

Councilman Samuels is very concerned about this error and is looking into it
further.  We will get back to you with an explanation as soon as possible.
