[Emailfda] Notice: Siren Test Today at noon

Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) will conduct the monthly siren test
today, May 6, at 12:00 noon. 

 

Monthly siren tests are conducted on the first Wednesday of each month and
involve a one (1) minute siren run using a steady or even tone for the four
Medical College of Virginia (MCV) Campus and six Monroe Park Campus sirens.
In an actual life threatening emergency, the sirens will wail (up and down
tone) for four (4) minutes. The "all clear" siren for an actual emergency is
a two (2) minute steady or even tone siren.
