DPU's Cleaning & Lining Begins in the Fan
 
RICHMOND, VA-Beginning Monday, May 4 through Tuesday, May 5, 2009 from 9:00
a.m. - 4:00 p.m. the City of Richmond Department of Public Utilities will be
performing water main Cleaning and Lining in Richmond's Fan area.  Crews
will begin at Harvey Street and proceed in a westerly direction.  The
following streets will be closed intermittingly for a few hours at a time
while work is progressing:
*	Harvey Street between Cary Street and Grove Avenue
*	Vine Street between Cary Street and Grove Avenue
*	Lombardy Street between Cary Street and Grove Avenue
*	Plum Street between Cary Street and Grove Avenue

Motorists are asked to follow the posted detour signs.  Minimal traffic
disruption is expected.  During this work, residents will likely see yellow
temporary above-ground by-pass piping.  This piping is used while the water
mains are being cleaned and lined to ensure there is no interruption in
water service.
