The Binford PTA is happy to have joined the Fan's e-mail list!  We would
like to let you know about all the wonderful things happening at Binford
this year, and invite you to get involved!  Strong schools make strong
neighborhoods!

We have three projects for which we are currently looking for community
involvement:
1. The Binford Bash!
2. Binford Baseball in 3-D
3. The Binford Gardens

Below is information about the Binford Bash!  I'll send information about
the other projects soon, or you can visit our website at

In addition to giving you some details about the Binford Bash!, I would like
to invite you to join the Binford PTA e-mail list.  We send out e-mail
updates once a week on Mondays.  To join, just send an e-mail to
binfordpta at gmail.com and let us know you would like to join the pta's update
list.  You do not have to be a Binford parent.

The *Binford Bash!,* on April 25 from 11 am - 6 pm, will be a celebration of
the visual and performing arts.  We hope it will become a favorite annual
Fan Festival.

We will have live performances (music, theater, dance) throughout the day.
We will also have artist booths with work for sale; a silent auction; a
dedication of our rain garden; a community art project that everyone, young
and old can join in on; and a juried student art exhibit with award prizes
being offered by the Visual Arts Center of Richmond.

You can get help make the Binford Bash! a smashing success by:

1. offering an item for the silent auction (Contact Robin White at:

2. renting booth space to sell your art or spreading the word about our Call
for Artists. (Contact Vicki Bradly at:  804-274-0122 or
vickibradley008 at comcast.net )  Call for Artist flier & registration form
is available on our website:  www.binfordpta.org by clicking on the Binford
Bash Updates button.  We are seeking both established and emerging artists
in all art and craft media.

3. sponsoring a portion of the festival (i.e. a cotton candy or popcorn
machine, balloons, etc.)  Our art students can create signs recognizing your
sponsorship for the festival, and we can give you credit on our website.

Proceeds from the Binford Bash! benefit the school improvement projects of
the Binford PTA, such as our gardens, teacher support, Binford Baseball,
etc.
