Correction:

Robberies are up in the FAN neighborhood YTD 2009 (19 vs. 20) with 38% fewer
involving a firearm (13 vs. 5).

Robberies are down in sector 313 YTD 2009 (26 vs. 23) with 47% fewer
involving a firearm (19 vs. 10).

My mistake.

Please forward to your friends and neighbors.

2009 - YTD crime data for sector 313:

Property crime:

Residential and commercial burglaries are down significantly this year.

During last half of 2008 (7-1-08 thru 12-31-08) residential burglaries were
down 35% (89 vs. 58), so the downward trend has been over the period of
twelve months.

Thefts from cars are way up this year.

However, this week officers made two significant arrests of suspects
believed to be responsible for several thefts from cars in the Fan (July 13
in the 200 block of Robinson and July 15 in the 1800 block of Monument).

Violent crime:

Robberies of individuals are up slightly, but robberies involving a firearm
are down 38% (13 vs. 5).
