REGISTRATION FORM 

Class topics include Tree Identification, Tree Biology, Selecting Planting
Sites, Selecting Trees, Planting and Care, Health and Maintenance, and
Proper Pruning Methods, 
Classes will be taught by area professionals in our tree care industry.

Registration A is $95.00 For City Residents

"Tree Steward Certification" certificate awarded
Completion of 10 Classes 
 20 hrs of community service 

Registration B Non-Resident  is $150.00

"Tree Steward Participation" certificate awarded
Completion of 10 Classes 

All funds will be used for Tree Steward Projects. 

Tree Stewards who have completed the class in 2004-08 may sit in the classes
at no charge,
but they must register.  Register Today! Classes Start    FEBUARY 9th

Classes on Mondays will be from 6:30pm-8:30pm at the round house in Byrd
Park.
The Tree Planting class will be held on Sat. From 9:00am to 12:00pm

Tree Stewards Agenda 

Winter / Spring 09

This agenda is tentative and subject to change in order to accommodate
the schedules our speakers. All week night classes are scheduled for 6:30 pm
to
8:30pm at the Round House at Byrd Park. 
Saturday classes are generally , 9am-12 noon, location TBA.

Understanding how trees function, grow and compartmentalize wounds,
provides the foundation for proper care and management

How to recognize symptoms of diseases, pests and environmental Problems

Characteristics and how they are important to trees

Overview of equipment, safety , and basic pruning

4/6/08   -  Pruning II    6:30-8:30                           
 Developmental Pruning

4/13/08  - Tree Evaluation and Inventory   6:30-8:30

Learning to identify, measure, and estimate tree conditions for
better tree care, and
management.
